Question – i have an older version of CN Rom (which I love), but want to update. What is the best method to do this? Should I get Rom Manager, Rom Toolkit or the CNA Utility App? Also, do I need to completely wipe my phone each time I upgrade versions of ROMs? Thanks in advance for the help.

I downloaded this after the Gummy ROM and it is a dream. Really smooth. Sometimes boot crashes and then re-runs but this isn’t a massive issue just now. Love the customisation on this ROM.

  4. Aaron says:

The music player is missing for me. Did that happen to anyone else too?

  8. Jack says:

some google apps missing, i have the music player but im missing the news/weather app. but biggest issue is when i go on usb mode, im not sure if its really slow or not working but the only way to transfer stuff properly is to mount sd from recovery

    • Andrew M. says:

try flashing Google apps. It’s a .zip that you can download through a quick Google search. It’s called gapps

  9. Jack says:

i had to switch back to cm9, the mms wasn’t working. i really like the customization on this rom, but if it prevents me from mms and other stuff, it really isn’t worth it i guess :S

  10. rahman says:

hi.codename notin send sms/ no music player

  11. I am a little bit confused. I am going back over your reviews, and all of them say “This is probably one of the best ROMs I’ve tried”, so which one is it? :-) That aside anyone else have an issue with this ROM and google voice? When I place calls I want it to come from my google voice number, not my phone number. That stopped working after installing this ROM.

    • I have now discovered that if I am calling a sprint user it shows my original phones number, but if I call anyone else it shows my google voice number so this may not be ROM related after all. However I do have a lot of “lag” moments where the phone is just sitting there not doing anything for a long time. I think the reviews here are interesting, but none of them seem to be real world speed tests. if you don’t install any customizations (like a new keyboard or widgets that actually do something) you can’t see the true usability of the each of the ROM’s. In my opinion at the end of the day once you add your customizations all of them perform the same, but thats just been my experience with a limited handful of different ROM’s.

I love this rom but the only problem i am having is that i can receive mms but when i try to send them it shows sent but its not really sending them. everything else is working perfect on my nexus s 4g. Is there a setting i can change to fix this ?
