For this week, check out AOKP Build 5 Milestone 1 Jelly Bean ROM for your Nexus S and Nexus S 4G!

The new AOKP Build 5 Milestone 1 comes with the latest Android 4.1.2 with the latest ROM Control baked in to bring you the best of Android 4.1.2 and customizations. Some of the newer AOKP Jelly Bean builds lacked AOKP ICS ROM Control features but with this latest build, you will find all of those plus more. Other than the awesome UI customizations, Android 4.1.2 brings more smoother performance than ever before.

So, try out the new Milestone 1 for this week and let me know how it goes for you!

New features added to Milestone 1:

  • Adjustable NavBar width for Tablets
  • Allow “Vibrate on Touch” behavior for Slide unlock
  • Toggles can be hidden like in ICS – long press on the Settings button!

After installing AOKP-Milestone 1 + GoogleApps on my Nexus S (International),
the phone will not start from lock screen, no matter what gesture I use.
It remains on lock screen and there is no way to shut down unless batteries are removed.
    Sucks real BAD !

This ROM dragged my network speeds (including 4g) to only a few kilobytes/second. Also, wouldn’t let me connect to Wifi, gave the avoiding because of interference error. Unusable.

  14. A.J says:

    Hey my name is A.J.
I Am curious to why all if us followers of your site are still being lied to like I about the so called “ROM-OF THE WEEK” NOW I haven’t seen or heard of a weekly rom in along long time probably since the befinning of last summer. Now we geta new ro m once if we get lucky. Now why is this and can u please fix it and START making some NEW ROMS FOR US COME ON NOW PLEASE N THANKS

    • Greg Smith says:

      Hi A.J. -

I personally do not feel that we are being lied to by NexusSHacks.Com in regards to “ROM OF THE WEEK!” or anything else for that matter. As you may already be aware, several sites on the Net today, list detailed how-tos; and key components of our respective devices, while contributing their free time and expertise at no cost — which is most likely how you’ve come to find this site.

http://NexusSHacks.Com and http://HighOnAndroid.Com have been very helpful to me personally in feeding my “Android Flashaholic” appetite with its wide range coverage of devices and firmware. However, should you require a more specific set of ROM/Kernel combos, I would recommend researching (you may already have this as your modus operandi) for your device’s compatibility for “best” ROM/kernel, features, overclocking and power.

  15. Alf says:

Do you guys have bln notifications enabled?
On Mine seem not to work, plus i can’t find any option to toggle led on

  16. sameer says:

  17. Kokoy says:

I’ve been using this for quite a while and it’s really good. It’s stable.
I’m wondering if there will be a new ROM with Android 4.2 soon..
I want that photosphere and the 4.2 features on the Nexus S. :)
I downloaded a 4.2 Camera and gallery but the photosphere is not working..

  18. akaromy235 says:

Thanks for the good job done. Ive been using this aokp jb milestone 1 with kernel cfs v24 and it was superb. Everything work well and i like it dud..

  19. Alex says:

After one week with AOKP Milestone 1 for AT&T Nexus S (GT-I9020A), it has serious problems connecting to nearby wireless networks most of the time. Previously 2.3.4 would connect to my home or office WiFi perfectly fine, but now I can’t even get it to connect when I stand beside the router. Not suggested.

  20. Lanny Larimore says:

Great ROM buy I’m not getting any voicemail notifications. Sprint N S 4g

    Anyone else experience this?

    • Jack H. says:

The notifications in general freeze my phone. Seems to be related to playing any kind of MP3 file. I typically charge my phone at night, and wake up to notifications, but when I wake up, it’s frozen with a black screen and the notification lights lit up on the bottom.

Happens during the day too, typically when I’m getting a text, or an alert that plays a chime.

  21. Kokoy says:

I changed the lock screenbwallpaper to a custom/ ordinary one and now i cannot set a live lockscreen wallpaper. Please help!
